  • About You...

  • Working with me

I am a facilitator of resilience - supporting you on your journey to make choices and changes that make life more sustainable and enjoyable in the long term and bring more ease during the process of transition.

My multi-disciplinary approach has developed through twenty-one years of experience and over ten thousand hours of practice in the inquiry, design and facilitation of journeys of change, learning and wellbeing - that all lead to greater resilience.

Over the last 13 years of a very intentional journey, I have fundamentally changed the way I think, live, work, learn, relate and lead. I even changed my name. Safe to say, if you're looking to make changes to your life, I've got a fair amount of experience to call on.

The core of this approach is based on inquiry and action learning; and weaves in principles and practices from design and systems thinking, networks, change management, coaching, facilitation, learning and leadership development in business, charity and community contexts; giving me a strong foundation to build on - and an understanding of the situations and challenges women face in the workplace.

I also draw on practices and tools from nutrition, kinesiology, meditation, spirituality, 12 steps, energy medicine, nature connection, ayurveda, space clearing, feng shui and geomancy, art therapy, poetry and craft.

I have consciously chosen to focus on women's resilience as ultimately, it's what nourishes and inspires me. And I'm a woman, and therefore have more relevant understanding and experience to draw on.

I am known for my sensitivity, empathy and creativity; for my ability to sense the unseen and bring clarity to situations.

  • Kind words

'I came to Leela after my organisation saw a series of unexpected changes in resources, size, and leadership; as a constant in the changing organisation, I felt overburdened with responsibility and workload and worried about the outlook of my organisation and my own wellbeing.

Over 6 sessions Leela has helped me strengthen my own resilience and that of my team. Through talking to Leela I have learnt to reflect on, and have been empowered to address, challenges at work related to people, place and policies.

My awareness and application of my own strengths has increased substantially; 6 months on and I have now instigated a team resilience programme, tackled performance-related issues across my team, supported others struggling with change management, and most importantly have a confidence in myself to continue navigating us through the growth of my organisation.

Leela provided me with the tools and the space to become a resilient leader and I would recommend her to anyone wanting to strengthen their people management and adaptive capacities, or simply wanting to think through everyday challenges such as work-life balance.'

Lucy - Leadership Team of Global Charity

'With Leela's coaching, I was able to transform my attitude..... I was also hoping that I could just focus on work and avoid dealing with the challenges in my personal life, but actually, I've come to realise that it's unavoidable.

"I find these sessions so constructive and through each one I get stronger and clearer about issues that have been worrying and stopping me”.

  • Practicalities

    Fair-fee approach

Fees vary according to the number and frequency of sessions, plus your honest selection of a place on the fee scale which is fair for you and your circumstances and that is equally affordable and workable for me.

The fee scale seeks to accommodate women who are on high, modest and low incomes - and those who are self-funded or sponsored by their organisation.

I have allocations of space in my diary for specific rate bands - and can be offered when the fee zone you have selected on the scale, becomes available.

    Sessions take place

Almost all sessions take place over Skype or Zoom and are arranged at mutually convenient times - either ad-hoc or in a series or rhythm.

Spirals (tailored made journeys, guided by you)

    I work with women on a one-to-one basis for journeys of 3, 6, 9 and 12 months.

    Retreats

Personalised retreats currently take place in rural East Sussex. Alternative geographies, landscapes and venues can be considered, subject to availability and workability.

In the past, I've hosted a personalised retreat for a high profile entrepreneur who needed an escape from the city to recharge, review and re-energise her work - after an intense period of change and in preparation for a pivotal strategic meeting with her investors.

And a partnership of two women in leadership positions in the creative industry who needed space and time to regroup after a heavy schedule of creative production and the launch of their women-led platform for women in creative industries. 3 days in the Ashdown Forest, quiet time, forest immersions, organic vegetarian meals and a series of visual leadership sessions supported them in regrouping and recharging.

    On Retainer

Providing ongoing support on a project or to a leader, limited retainer arrangements can be explored once we have worked together over the course of a series of sessions and/or journeys.

    On-Site Engagements

On the occasions where on-site work would radically improve the process or outcome(s) we are working on, I may work on-site, subject to availability.
