• Tools for Resilience

I design and make resources and artefacts that support and develop resilience

You can commission the design, illustration and production of an artefact, template, kit or game for yourself, your organisation or project - from initial concept and prototype through to final product; enabling you to cultivate resilience in a number of ways.

    You could be

And through our work together, you could...

    • Engage your stakeholders, audiences or customers in a beautiful and effective way
    • Create more effective learning, teaching and facilitation resources
    • Enhance your brand value and status with bespoke designed or hand-made resources and content
    • Save time and money on making your own flip charts and resources - with re-printable templates

  • Kind Words

'Leela is like no one else I’ve ever met, she’s quite simply brilliant. She is a unique blend of creativity, intuition and smarts. Her crystal clear ideas process took me on an amazing colourful journey starting from a spark of an idea and ending with a fully formed concept and business plan. Like a spiral, Leela’s questions led me deep into the core of the idea.

One of the keys of the process is the visual map, of the conversation, that Leela creates during the session. This map helped me link things together differently, see new possibilities and ultimately come up with a better concept"

    Dawn - Director of Fundraising

' We greatly enjoyed working with Leela to create a visual representation of what we do; the process really helped us think carefully about the how we wanted to share the artefact and who it was for – and this ensured the end result is great and represents us very well.'

    Steve Gray - CEO Earthwatch

  • Practicalities

    Commissions - Licensing

The industry standard in this area of work is that a commission for the design and making of an artefact will involve the payment for the work completed to research, design and make it. The work is licensed to the commissioner or end-customer - for an agreed period, subject to terms such as above the line or below the line use, global or national use and length of the term of the lease. The designer retains the copyright. Upon the end of the term of the lease, the licensee can extend or fully cease all use of the licensed product.

I've been through this process many times with commissioners and customers - and it's very straight forward and easy to understand. It's research, design and materials time plus a separate license fee.

    Commissions - Copyright purchase

There are rare times when a commissioner or customer wishes to - and can afford to buy the copyright for a designed and produced artefact. This is an option should you wish to explore it.

    Studio

Almost all work is completed from my small studio in rural East Sussex - in the forest where Winnie the Pooh was written.

I use Zoom and Skype for customer meetings and sessions. I venture out to customer sites occasionally, subject to availability.

In the past, have set up studios in corporate and business offices in support of specific projects and series' of initiatives. This can be explored if appropriate.
